 The Lady Victoria Colliery - the last remaining colliery in Scotland and one of the finest industrial monuments in Europe - is home to the National Mining Museum Scotland, the national coal mining museum for Scotland. The National Mining Museum Scotland has an excellent licensed business and function facility - The Old Power House - which offers a truly unique venue for any event, from meetings to conferences, parties to weddings. We can even offer specially tailored tours (or ghost tours!) for your guests/delegates. The elegant Old Power House is particularly strong in character, featuring an impressive 18th-century beam engine and large Victorian windows. This fully equipped space can accommodate up to 120 delegates and can be partitioned off for smaller groups.  Our in-house caterers can provide menus to suit all tastes and you could really wow your guests with a drinks reception on the pithead - where miners once descended hundreds of feet into the darkness of the Lady Vic!
