All rooms have natural daylight and some still retain their original fittings. This 16th century house is built on the site of a medieval abbey and lies in 125 acres of ancient parkland and gardens, offering the visitor complete peace and tranquility. There is also comfortable 2 star campus accommodation and each bedroom has en-suite facilities. Visitors can also discover Newbattle Abbey’s links to Scotland’s past by taking a guided tour to hear and see ancient artefacts such as the font used to baptise Mary, Queen of Scots.
