Directions The holiday cottage is 500 metres from Dalkeith Centre at 45A Eskbank Road, EH22 3BH.
Eskbank Rd. is a continuation of the Dalkeith High Street. 45A is 50 metres from Kings Park and 2 properties from St. David's RC church and the Dalkeith RFC clubhouse.
Walk 50 metres and there is a bus every 10 minutes to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile ( weekdays ....every 20 mins Saturday and every 30 mins Sundays).
If you plan to arrive by train then the bus 3 or 49 ( every 10 mins ) from Waverley North Bridge will fetch you directly to the cottage.

This holiday option is the only Scottish Tourist Board 4 star quality rated holiday cottage in Dalkeith. Established in 1997, the building was demolished & rebuilt in 2004 to ensure luxurious standards throughout.
Self caterers enjoy:-

A kitchen diner with a dining table for up to 10
A King Sized bed & jack (- double shower) & gill ensuites in the masterbedroom
An ensuite bedroom with 2 single beds and a metal futon
A beautifully corniced lounge with 2 french windows and outlook to the croquet lawn. The lounge has 2 sofas, one is a sofabed. The lounge has a walk in cupboard for suitcases and an ensuite ( shower /wc/whb). This means that the lounge can be a bedroom.
With 2004 "green" building standards, the insulation is "Swedish" in its efficiency. The condenser gas combination boiler ensures "Niagra" shower pressure and that you will be really cosy when there is cold weather.
There is off street parking.
Within easy walking distance there are 4 restaurants (talian Chinese Indian Scottish) and 3 pubs offering good food.
There are 3 parks nearby:
Dalkeith Palace Chld Adventure playground and 500 acres of wood and parkland walks
Dalkeith Kings Park with tennis courts, children's playground ( swings / slides )
Dalkeith Ironmills Park - excellent for safe dog walking.
