Arniston House

Arniston House is a magnificent Palladian style Mansion House that was started in 1726 by William Adam. It is home to the Dundas family. The house collection boasts wonderful Scottish portraiture by Raeburn and Ramsay among other noted painters. The contents also include fabulous period furniture and other fascinating pieces. The family has been involved in a long programme of restoration after the house was ravaged by dry rot in the 1950s. they take much pleasure in guiding visitors around their home.



Open Times:

By Guided tour only.

May and June: Tuesday and Wednesday. Tours leave at 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

July to mid September: Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. Tours leave at 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

Grounds open 12.00pm to 5.00pm on these days.

Private groups accepted throughout the year by prior arrangement.
Season 1st April to 30th September (approx.)
