Midlothian Ski Centre

Europe's longest and most challenging artificial ski slope. Two main slopes, two nursery slopes and fun slope are all floodlit and have something to offer every standard of skier, boarder or blader. Equipment provided. Qualified team of instructors. Since the Centre opened in 1966 there have been significant developments and improvements. The Centre now offers a challenging environment for everyone. Beginners are accommodated on one of our two 50 metre nursery/teaching slopes. One of them is made from a soft textile called playgrass which, along with its additional cushioning, makes for a more comfortable landing if you fall while learning your techniques. From the middle station down, both main slopes have an underlay which keeps the grass and mud from coming through the matting, whilst providing shock absorption. The main slopes are fitted with a misting system from the middle station down as are one of the nursery slopes and the jump slope. This makes the surface less sticky and dry.
Season Open all year
