Midlothian Food and Drink Competition 2012

Midlothian Tourism Forum in partnership with Midlothian Council is hosting the first Midlothian Food and Drink Competition.

The aim of the competition is to help recognise the quality food, drink and hospitality we have here in Midlothian.

The competition is open to ALL MIDLOTHIAN FOOD AND DRINK BUSINESSES. Nominations will be shortlisted by a public vote. 

We are asking for customers and locals to vote for their favourite Midlothian places under the following award categories.

 

  1. BEST PLACE FOR A COFFEE
  2. BEST PLACE FOR A PINT
  3. BEST PLACE FOR LUNCH
  4. BEST PLACE FOR DINNER
  5. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE (Within a food and drink business)
  6. BEST OUTSIDE CATERER
  7. BEST LOCAL FOOD/DRINK PRODUCER
  8. BEST PLACE FOR A TAKEAWAY

 

You can vote online here or download a pdf version. The voting period will run from 20 Feb until 30 April 2012. After this time the nominations will be shortlisted by our independent panel and the winners announced at our awards ceremony in May. 

On-line voters will automatically be entered into prize draw to win 2 tickets to our glitzy awards ceremony dinner taking place in May.

Midlothian has a range of fabulous food and drink businesses.  If its been a while since you have had a meal at your favourite restaurant or had a coffee in your favourite cafe then go out and remind youself why you think they are the best. Look out for special offers or promotions being run during the voting period.
